Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah emphasised the importance of unity and cooperation among all parties, including the public sector, private sector, and the community, through the ‘Whole-of-Government’ and ‘Whole-of-Nation’ approach to work together towards achieving a dynamic and sustainable economy.

He said this chairing the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) Muzakarah session with Legislative Council (LegCo) members at the Theatre Hall, MoFE Building, Commonwealth Drive, Jalan Kebangsaan, yesterday.

The session served as a platform for constructive discussion and exchange of views and knowledge covering various aspects, including the global and domestic economic landscape; fiscal management strategies through the implementation of the Fiscal Consolidation Program (FCP) and corporatisation; economic transformation efforts through the Brunei Darussalam Economic Blueprint; financial governance; strengthening trade and local industry; as well as enhancing bilateral, regional, and international relations.

Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid; Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Fiscal) Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sani; acting permanent secretaries; Brunei Darussalam Central Bank managing director; deputy permanent secretaries; as well as heads of departments and divisions of the MoFE also attended.

Yang Berhormat Hajah Rosmawatty binti Haji Abdul Mumin, who led the LegCo delegation, delivered the reply speech.
