The 21st Legislative Council (LegCo) meeting on February 26 will discuss matters relating to the national development agenda and the supply bill for the 2025/2026 financial year through three stages before it can be approved and gazetted for use starting April 1.
This year’s assembly of leaders will be chaired by Speaker of the LegCo Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib.
The meeting is set to continue as the highest level of discussion forum in the country, especially due to the participation of the members comprising high ranking officials; members bestowed with titles and decorations, distinguished persons as well as representatives from the four districts.
The meeting aims to unite the interests of the people and the government by discussing important policies for achieving sustainable economic progress, people’s well-being through inclusive social policy, and continued national security under the grace of Allah the Almighty.
The session is also open to the public interested in listening to debates and discussions.
