BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Saturday, 29 August 2026 – The Department of State Councils held a Maulud Nabi Muhammad Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wassalam Celebration for the Year 1448H / 2026M.

Present as the guest of honour was Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Dr. Dayang Hajah Huraini binti Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Jaya Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hurairah, Clerk to the Privy Council, Secretary to the Council of Cabinet Ministers and Clerk to the Legislative Council. Also present were officers and staff of the Department of Councils.

A special religious talk in conjunction with the theme “Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wassalam Suluh Aqidah” was delivered by Yang Mulia Ustaz Mohammad Fikri bin Haji Sharbini, Education Officer at the Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran. The talk highlighted, among other matters, Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wassalam as an exemplary model in faith, character and leadership towards attaining the blessings and pleasure of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta‘ala.

The celebration was further enlivened with the recitation of Dikir Syarafil Anam by officers and staff of the Department of State Councils.
