Speaker of the Legislative Council (LegCo) Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib received a courtesy call from ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) Secretary-General Ar. Siti Rozaimeriyanty binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abdul Rahman, who is concluding her term of service.

The meeting, held at the Legislative Council Building, highlighted ongoing cooperation between LegCo and the AIPA Secretariat, including Brunei Darussalam’s participation in AIPA meetings, implementation of regional initiatives, and coordination of programmes among member parliaments.

Discussions also underscored AIPA’s role as a key platform in strengthening inter-parliamentary collaboration across ASEAN, supporting regional priorities, and enhancing policy cohesion and engagement among member states.

Yang Berhormat Pehin Abdul Rahman expressed appreciation for Ar. Siti Rozaimeriyanty’s contributions and service throughout her tenure as AIPA Secretary-General.

Also present at the meeting was Clerk to the Privy Council, Secretary to the Cabinet Ministers’ Council and Clerk to the Legislative Council, Datin Paduka Dr. Dayang Hajah Huraini binti Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Jaya Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hurairah.
