Legislative Council (LegCo) Speaker Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib received a courtesy visit from the Ambassador of France to Brunei Darussalam Bernard Regnauld-Fabre at the LegCo building yesterday.

During the visit, the Speaker and the ambassador discussed mutual interest and concerns including matters in the field of education.

Both sides also discussed the legal field, where the Speaker said that apart from the annual conference discussing the national budget, LegCo members also utilise other platform such as dialogue session and conducting visits to Government ministries and departments to understand more on strategic matters, policies and the implementation of ongoing and planned projects.

Both sides also expressed their appreciation for the long-standing cooperative relationship and hoped that it would continue to grow and be further strengthened through exchange of visits and cooperation.

Secretary to the Cabinet Ministers’ Council and Clerk to LegCo Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Awang Haji Judin bin Haji Asar was also present.
