Legislative Council (LegCo) Speaker Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib recently received a courtesy visit from the High Commissioner of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam Major General (Rtd) Farhat Abbas Sani at the LegCo building.

Also present was Secretary to the Cabinet Ministers’ Council and Clerk to the LegCo Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Haji Judin bin Haji Asar. During the courtesy visit, both sides touched on current issues of mutual interest such as on trade, tourism and aviation.

The LegCo Speaker expressed his sympathy on the recent flood disaster in Pakistan.

The high commissioner expressed his highest appreciation for the assistance channelled by Brunei Darussalam through the Pakistan Flood Humanitarian Fund 2022.

Both sides hope that cooperation will continue to expand and strengthened in the existing and future fields.
