BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Monday, October 30 - In preparation for the 15th AIPA CAUCUS Meeting which will be hosted by Brunei Darussalam in 2024, a preparatory meeting was held today at the Legislative Council Building. The meeting was chaired by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Adanan bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Haji Md. Yusof, Member of the Legislative Council as Chairman of the 15th AIPA CAUCUS Meeting.
The meeting was also attended by Her Excellency Dayang Siti Rozaimeriyanty binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Awang Haji Abdul Rahman, Secretary General of AIPA. During the meeting, Her Excellency delivered a Special Introductory Briefing on the AIPA CAUCUS Meeting focusing on the main objectives of the meeting and the processes involved in organizing the AIPA CAUCUS meeting.
Among other things, the main purpose of the meeting is also to discuss issues of national interest and commitment to be highlighted during the 15th AIPA CAUCUS Meeting towards achieving the national goals and vision of 2035. The 15th AIPA CAUCUS Meeting will also highlight the development of the implementation status on the resolutions that have been adopted during the last AIPA General Assembly, including developments and initiatives in the political, economic, social, women's and youth development fields.
Also present during the meeting were Honourable Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Awang Haji Judin bin Haji Asar, Secretary of the Cabinet Ministers' Council and Clerk of Councils; as well as Members of the Legislative Council.
