Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji
Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib yesterday received a
goodwill visit from Vice-President of the National Assembly of Vietnam
Nguyen Khac Dinh and 15 members of the National Assembly of Vietnam.
Ambassador of Vietnam to Brunei Darussalam Tran Anh Vu accompanied the delegation at the LegCo building.
Clerk to the Privy Council, Secretary to
the Cabinet Ministers’ Council and Clerk to the LegCo Dr Dayang Hajah
Huraini binti Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Jaya Dato Paduka Awang Haji
Hurairah as well as several members of the LegCo were also present.
The visit marked the friendly and close relationship between the two countries.
Both parties discussed joint plan of action
for Implementation of the Comprehensive Partnership between Brunei
Darussalam and Vietnam (2023-2027) including the relationship among
legislative bodies such as Brunei Darussalam LegCo and the National
Assembly of Vietnam.
The LegCo Speaker and the Vice-President of
the National Assembly of Vietnam also touched on current issues and
hoped that cooperation can be further strengthened, especially in
learning from each other to ensure the stable and prosperous development
of the country and the region.
Nguyen Khac Dinh and his delegation are on an official visit to the Sultanate which will conclude today.
