INTERNATIONAL MEMBERSHIP

In strengthening international cooperation and relations, the Legislative Council (MMN) plays an active role through its participation in various regional and global inter-parliamentary organisations and forums.

The Legislative Council is a full member of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) since 2009, a member of the Asia Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF) since 2021, as well as a member of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) since 2025.

In addition, the Legislative Council also participates as an observer in the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) and continues to participate in other international conferences and meetings to support inter-parliamentary cooperation and strengthen relations with regional and international partners.
