His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam is scheduled to attend and officiate the official opening ceremony of the First Meeting of the 22nd Legislative Council Session for the Year 1447 Hijrah at the Department of Councils of State’s building on March 12.

A full rehearsal was conducted on Tuesday at the Department of Councils of State’s building, Jalan Dewan Majlis, to ensure the smooth running of the ceremony.

Speaker of the Legislative Council Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib was present to witness the rehearsal. Clerk to the Privy Council, Secretary to the Cabinet Ministers’ Council and Clerk to the Legislative Council Datin Paduka Dr Hajah Huraini binti Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Jaya Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hurairah as well as officials and staffs from the department and the agencies involved in the ceremony were also present.
