​Legislative Council Speaker Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib met outgoing Malaysian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Dato’ Raja Reza bin Raja Zaib Shah yesterday.

During the courtesy visit, both sides appreciated the long-standing friendship and cooperation enjoyed by the two countries, especially in trade, education, defence and sports. Throughout the tenure of the high commissioner, many high-level visits and efforts were made to further strengthen the relationship between Brunei and Malaysia.

Dato’ Raja Reza also thanked the Sultanate for all the assistance that has been given throughout his tenure in realising the commitments and efforts in advancing and strengthening the relationship between the two countries. Both parties hope that Brunei and Malaysia will continue to maintain good relations and be able to develop further cooperation.

The speaker also congratulated the high commissioner for successfully carrying out his duties throughout his tenure.
