Bandar Seri Begawan, Thursday, 28 April 2022 - The tadarus activity is an act of worship that is common among Muslims in this glorious and blessed month of Ramadan. The Department of Councils of State today held a Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony. The ceremony was held at the department's Surau starting at 1.00 pm this afternoon.
This annual event is organized by the Welfare and Sports Committee of the Department of Councils of State with the participation of officers and staff of the Department. The Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony marks the end of the recitation of 30 Juz of the holy Al-Quran read by the staff of this department. Present at the ceremony, the Honorable Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Awang Haji Judin bin Haji Asar, Secretary of the Council of Cabinet Ministers & Clerk of the Councils.
The Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony was preceded by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Awang Haji Julazni bin Haji Zaini then followed by the Recitation of Common Surahs, Takhtim Recitation, Khatam Al-Quran Doa Recitation and Zikir Asrakal.
In conjunction with this glorious month of Ramadan, as usual, the Welfare and Sports Body of the Councils Department also donated to two (2) staff of the department. This contribution was presented by the Honorable Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Awang Haji Judin bin Haji Asar, Secretary of the Council of Cabinet Ministers & Clerk of the Councils.
Among others, the purpose of the Al-Quran recitation activity in the month of Ramadan is held every year is to encourage officers and staff in the department to be more enthusiastic in reciting the Al-Quran and love the Al-Quran, and it is hoped that all acts of worship performed, especially in the circumstances. fasting will get a multiplied reward.
