The Department of Councils of State held a religious talk at its banquet hall on Jalan Dewan Majlis recently.
Secretary to the Cabinet Minister’s Council and Clerk I to the Legislative Council Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Haji Judin bin Haji Asar as well as Legislative Council members attended.
Assistant lecturer at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Mohammad Khairul Nazif bin Haji Awang Damit delivered a talk on ‘Embracing Ramadhan in New Norm’.
The talk touched on prayer as an act of worship that occupies the highest place. “If a Muslim is obedient in performing the obligatory prayers five times a day, it means he is upholding his religion,” he said.
He added, “Prayer contains its own philosophy or wisdom that Muslims must embrace. Prayer should be interpreted as a way of guidance for Allah the Almighty to guide us to always be appreciative and on time. Praying also means that Muslims strive to be believers who hold on to the trust in Allah the Almighty. “
The talk on the holy month of Ramadhan was especially for officers and staff in addition to providing knowledge and on Ramadhan.
