Thirteen local businesses comprising
participants from the Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) Special
Entrepreneurial Empowerment and Development Scheme (BIBD SEED), One
Village, One Product (1K1P) as well as local entrepreneurs are part of
the Projek Tunas market place at the government office building of Pekan
Bangar in Temburong District.
The project is an entrepreneurship
programme providing business space for entrepreneurs to practice the
extent of their training highlighted by BIBD and can be used in their
business management to achieve success. It is also a platform for local
entrepreneurs to showcase local products.
Legislative Council (LegCo) member Yang Berhormat Haji Sulaiman bin Haji Nasir officiated the launch.
Acting Temburong District Officer Mohamad
Yassin bin Haji Ahmed with BIBD Head of Government Relations and Special
Projects Division Haji Mohammad Yusri bin Haji Wahsalfelah, as well as
members of the Syariah Advisory Board of BIBD, heads of departments in
Temburong District and officials also attended.
The market place is open from Monday to Thursday and on Saturday from 8am to 3pm.
