A total of 466.07 kilogrammes of waste were collected along Seri Kenangan Beach and Jalan Pengasing in the Tutong District during a coastal clean-up organised by Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd yesterday.
The event, held in collaboration with Green Brunei, showed Brunei LNG’s ongoing support for community sustainability efforts. It brought together Brunei LNG leaders, staff and BLNGolden Hearts and Brunei LNG Eco Eagles groups with the Tutong District Office, Municipal Department of Tutong District and students from Sufri Bolkiah Secondary School and Muda Hashim Secondary School to help preserve Brunei’s coastlines. Acting Tutong District Officer Mohammad Sofian bin Haji Basri as the guest of honour as well as Legislative Council member and Village Head of Kampong Sengkarai Yang Berhormat Abdul Aziz bin Haji Hamdan and Acting Assistant Tutong District Officer Haji Haizul Rizal bin Haji Yahya were present.
Brunei LNG Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Adeleye Falade and Asset Manager Haji Zalani bin Haji Lalim emphasised the importance of cleanliness and community collaboration for environmental stewardship. The event aimed to promote sustainable practices and environmental awareness in the Sultanate.
